Privacy Policy

HydroComplete Pro ("we", "our", "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and hashed password when you sign up. We never store passwords in plaintext.
• Project data: Stormwater models, watershed parameters, and analysis results you save to the cloud. This data is stored in our Supabase database and is accessible only to you.
• Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or process credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous pageview counts (page path, screen size, referrer). No cookies, no fingerprinting, no personally identifiable information.
• Site lookup data: When you use the map feature, we query USDA SSURGO, NOAA Atlas-14, USGS NLCD, and USGS 3DEP on your behalf. These queries include the latitude/longitude you clicked. We do not store these coordinates permanently.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and provide access to your projects
• To manage your subscription (via Stripe)
• To run engineering calculations on your behalf (server-side)
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. We do not use your project data for training AI models.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Account and project data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security enabled.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage.
• Server-side JWT authentication prevents unauthorized access.
• Calculation engines run on Fly.io with auto-stop (machines are not persistently running).

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication (Supabase Privacy Policy)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Netlify — frontend hosting (Netlify Privacy Policy)
• Fly.io — backend hosting (Fly.io Privacy Policy)
• USDA, NOAA, USGS — federal data services (public, no user data transmitted beyond coordinates)

5. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your stored projects in the application.
• Deletion: You can delete individual projects. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email support@hydrocomplete.com.
• Export: Projects can be exported as JSON from the workspace manager.
• Portability: Your analysis results include formula steps that are independently verifiable — you are not locked into the platform.

6. Cookies

We do not use cookies. Authentication tokens are stored in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to third parties.

7. Children's Privacy

HydroComplete Pro is intended for licensed professionals and engineering students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
