Your maps, colored like a map.
You already print, frame, and ship 3D topographic maps. HydroComplete is the step before the printer. A customer frames any place on a USGS topo, sees the relief, and the bands take their color from a published elevation legend. You download the files and finish the piece the way you already do.
What you add
A live frame and a 3D preview, so you spend less time emailing a mockup. Six, eight, or ten bands from NOAA ETOPO1 or a GMT legend (globe, relief, earth, geo, world, topo). True elevations, or the same colors stretched across that area, with breaks the customer can edit. The pack is an STL, a 3MF whose color changes PrusaSlicer reads, a full-color VRML for a color print service, and a legend card. For filament printers the card names the closest stock PLA for each band and how far that color sits from the legend.
What stays yours
The printer, the frame, the pins, the trails, the title, the price, and the person who bought it. The order button on the map page is for one person buying one printed map from HydroComplete, on a 6 to 8 week lead. This page is the other arrangement. We do not take the framing work, and we do not put your shop's name on our store.
What a shop should know before printing
Stock PLA does not reproduce a published legend. Neighboring legend colors are often close, and the nearest spool can be visibly off. The legend card states that gap. A full-color process uses the VRML, whose faces are the legend colors themselves.
PrusaSlicer applies the color changes in the 3MF. Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer do not read those changes yet. The print plan lists each change, and entering them takes about a minute. Trails, roads, and a frame are not in the model. Those stay part of your finish.
In the United States the elevation is USGS 3DEP. Elsewhere it is SRTM, GMTED2010, ETOPO1, and the other open sets behind AWS Terrain Tiles. A gentle landscape colored at true elevations looks quiet. Stretch the legend across that area's own min and max when the piece needs the full ramp.
The pilot
Email hello@hydrocomplete.com with three things: the shop name, the machine you print on, and one place you already sell. The reply is a one-map pilot. It is what allows you to print and sell that physical map under your name.
The $12 file button is for the person who paid, to print their own map. It is not, by itself, a right to resell prints. For the first shop maps, the price in the reply is that same $12, paid with the file button after we write back. There is no monthly fee until a shop asks for one.
